After meeting your guide at your hotel and boarding the tour transport, you will head to the Medeu Gorge (1,690 meters above sea level), home to the world’s largest high-altitude ice skating rink, as well as a dam that protects the city from destructive mudflows forming in the peaks of the Western Tien Shan. During a short walk at Medeu, you will have the opportunity to take photos of the magical mountain landscapes and enjoy the fresh air filled with the scent of pine trees.
After that, you will board the gondola lift leading to the Shymbulak ski resort. Following a breathtaking 20-minute ascent in the cable car over majestic fir tree tops, you will reach an altitude of 2,260 meters above sea level — the first level of the Shymbulak ski resort, which features restaurants, a ski school, and a mountain hotel. The resort is known for its mild climate with many sunny days, stable snow cover, and stunning surrounding views, which you can capture during a short walk.
